Peterborough CTC

Non CTC rides

For cyclists, the area in and around Peterborough offers something for everyone. Experienced riders can explore the rolling country lanes to the west or the flat fens with their wide open skies in the East. Beware of the Fenland Hill though, otherwise known as a headwind - it always seems to be windy in the fens.

Ferry Meadows

Families and wobbly beginners can gain confidence in the safe environment of Ferry Meadows. If the weather's nice, go early in the morning and get the cycle paths to your self.

The Green Wheel

Peterborough Green Wheel Cycline Map The Green Wheel around Peterborough has large sections off-road (the remainder on quiet country lanes) and provides a 45 mile route that can be shortened to your liking by taking one of the many "spokes" that lead toward the centre of Peterborough.

For a map of the Green Wheel and all of Peterborough's cycle paths, we thoroughly recommend the map shown here which is produced by local company CycleMaps UK and can be purchased online via their website.

This map does cost a little more than the map produced by Peterborough City Council but contains more detail and is more accurate.
